FROST DELAY PROCEDURE
On the morning of a potential frost delay, the pro shop and greens staff will decide together if there will be a frost delay.
IF NO FROST DELAY IS REQUIRED, NO NOTICE WILL BE ISSUED.
NOTICE AND UPDATES
In the event of a frost delay, the decision will be no later than the first tee time listed on
the tee-sheet. Notice of the frost delay:
- will be posted to Twitter and to the Club website, and
- will be sent to each player on the tee sheet by email for that day notifying them of the delay.
If notice of a frost delay has been posted, the first update will be posted
by 9:00 am (or earlier), indicating either a new start time or a continuation of the frost delay.
If a frost delay continues after 9:00 am, a second update will be posted
by 10:00 am (or earlier).
- On weekdays, the second update will indicate either a new start time or a continuation of the frost delay.
- On weekends and holidays, the second update will indicate either
- a 10:30 am start time, or
- a 12:00 Noon shotgun start.
WEEKDAY START TIMES
- The first time a frost delay occurs in the fall, all of the tee times on the original draw will be delayed for that day. When the course is opened for play, tee times will commence in accordance with the times posted at the beginning of the tee sheet.
- The second time a frost delay occurs, tee times will be adjusted to match the actual time of play. When the course is opened for play, tee times prior to the time of opening will be cancelled and play for that day will begin with the tee time coinciding with the opening time and continue in accordance with the remaining times on the tee sheet.

This pattern will continue on an alternating basis throughout the frost season. Thus, the third time a frost delay occurs, tee times will be delayed; the fourth time a frost delay occurs, tee times prior to the commencement of play will be cancelled; and so on. (This alternating arrangement is designed to balance the inconvenience as evenly as possible between early and later players.)
WEEKEND & HOLIDAY START TIMES
Before 10:30 am, the weekday process will apply on weekends and holidays. Tee times will either be delayed or cancelled in accordance with the sequence shown in the table. However, if the frost delay goes past 10:30 am, the tee sheet is deleted.
- A shotgun start at Noon will result, if the course is opened for play.
- Anyone wishing to play in the shotgun must phone the pro shop to book a starting tee position.
COURSE CLOSURE
In the event a frost delay goes beyond 12:00 Noon on
any day, the course will be closed for the day.
